A new study has unveiled some alarming findings about Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical found in plastics and epoxy resins.
In their study, rats exposed to BPA in the womb through weaning showed significant changes in oxytocin receptor expression in the brain. What’s even more concerning is that these changes wiped out the normal differences between male and female brain development.
This means BPA exposure could be making our brains more alike in ways that aren’t natural or healthy. Especially worrying is that male brains seem more vulnerable to these effects.
What can you do?
Opt for BPA-free products.
Avoid microwaving food in plastic containers.
Reduce use of canned foods.
