Astaxanthin and testosterone?

Looking to start consuming 12mg of Astaxanthin for its potent antioxidant properties and skin health. Any known contraindications with other supplements and is there any literature to support it would be antithetical to testosterone/sex hormone optimization?

Very impressive blood panel! I don’t think astaxanthin would have any negative impact on T looking at the literature. It may even protect the leydig cells.

I’ve heard it decreases dht or down regulated 5ar. Anybody know if this is true?

Cheers! Appreciate it, lifetime natural at 25 years of age. Interested to see if it provides any benefits, I’ve noticed I have yet to burn despite being out for hours boating with no sunscreen on and shirtless while taking it. Just hoping theres no detriments I’m unaware of.

I think as a separate “extracted” supplement it shouldn’t cause many issues - I’m guessing when it actually becomes an issue is when its combined with its original form (eg. fish oil which is similar to PUFA in its anti-dht properties)
