PSSD and the 5ht1a receptor

I’m not sure if anyone else gets this. I had Pssd for about couple years, or more now. When I take saffron at first, it helps my libido and mood. Then overtime, it crushes my libido and gives anhedonia more than usual. If I cycle it off and take ginkgo or forskolin, I get insane euphoria.

The first cycle I took ginkgo and saffron at same time. I did this for eight weeks. When I stopped the Saffron and took forskolin, I legit thought I was cured of Pssd. My libido was through the roof for couple weeks straight and insane low anhedonia. It didn’t last, though. It only lasted like a few weeks, is when it slowly faded.

The second cycle was only two weeks and same thing happened but I wasn’t doing it with Ginkgo, only ginkgo after. I am now on my third cycle and forgot how long I took the saffron for. I am now in the numbing phase yet again, and not sure what causes this Rollercoaster. No other supplements do this to me.

Edit: I accidently put stopped Ginkgo instead of Saffron.

look up Cyproheptadine on the raypeatforum or pssdforum, Lucas also talks about how it helped him. It’s a temporary fix most likely but might have some long-term benefits.

This is very interesting! I’m “boostin” this post in hopes that Lucas will see it at somepoint!

Some initial thoughts - Saffron has indeed been shown to help with PSSD although it is still serotonergic in its properties. Ginkgo works more on dopamine and noradrenaline which could be giving you that euphoric feeling.
