Testosterone supplements & fertility

Hey all, my wife and I are on the fertility journey and recently during our appointment with our IVF/fertility doctor I mentioned that I am taking natural supplements to boost my testosterone. He immediately told me that I should stop them as they will negatively impact my sperm. I understand taking direct testosterone to the body is bad for male fertility but I thought taking natural supplements would be fine.

Do you have any advice on this? P.s. I’ve included a photo of all the supplements I take for testosterone.

Hey there! i imagine that “natural supplements” would sound like a red flag to a specialised doctor. I imagine without knowing exactly what the supplement is they will err on the side of caution and advise you to only take what they recommend.

Supplements like fadogia are almost virtually unknown to most doctors and the studies on it are very scarce. im a bit sceptical of the claim they will negatively impact sperm. i would strongly recommend reading studies on each of these as they almost certainly would have information regarding it (except fadogia).

for fertility I would stick with Zinc, folic acid, CoQ10, carnatine, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin C. theres a lot of studies showing huge impact on fertility.
